Davis Dodds Hosts 24-Hour Live Stream at State Farm Arena for NBA Schedule Release

Davis Dodds, an influential internet creator, produced a dynamic and new 24-hour live stream. The pop-up event started at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday night at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. The unique event was part of the celebration releasing the Atlanta Hawks’ 2025-26 season schedule. Dodds had going to games at the arena for his whole life. So he used his platform to combine his passion for the game with his growing power as a creator.

At only 25 years old, Dodds has created a thriving online empire. He’s hit over one million subscribers on YouTube, 700 thousand followers on Instagram, and recently crossed the 10-thousand follower mark on Twitch. His viral NBA 2K videos are blockbusters, his storylines hook viewers in. As a consequence, he’s established an incredible brand loyalty within the gaming community. His connection to State Farm Arena runs a little deeper than that. In fact, just last year, he rented out the venue to film the music video for his hit song “4 U,” which featured the legendary artist T-Pain. During that process, Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz even came through to work with Dodds on an original track.

That home made the short live stream a very special one. Dodds constructed a temporary bedroom directly behind a basketball hoop for periods of rest throughout the day-long event. His goal today was not just to release the Hawks full schedule but give everyone a firsthand look at what’s going on at their new arena.

“We’re just going to have as much fun as possible and kind of show all the different elements of the arena. We’re going to make some music in there,” said Dodds.

In addition to the schedule announcement, fans will be treated to a thrilling lineup of events. Looking forward to an awesome dunk contest and tons of other fun basketball activities. To make the experience truly magical, Dodds noted, it’s best to have your friends nearby.

“Obviously, do a lot of hoops, [a] dunk contest. I think just having friends around and having as much fun as possible will make it go by fast, because who gets to even live in an arena for a day?” he remarked.

Many attendees were apprehensive about the idea of sleeping in the fieldhouse. They did an admirable job of disguising their eagerness for the journey to come. Katie DuPré, a collaborator on the stream, shared her thoughts: “I’m personally a little freaked out about the idea of sleeping in the arena… I think it’ll be at least a cool story. Yes, thankfully—thankfully—he worked sleeping into the schedule.

Steve Koonin, CEO of the Atlanta Hawks, calmed nervous viewers with an answer about safety and supervision during the event. “First of all,” he said, “there’s going to be adult supervision.” And he said, personally, he had total faith in Dodds. He likened Dodds to a “Home Alone” child, marauding through the empty arena in the early morning with brash confidence.

Koonin wrapped up with the promise that they would figure out how to keep him comfy while he generates his 24-hour marathon. For the most part, they’re going to allow his overflowing imagination to lead the way and just sort of see where it all goes.

This celebration of Dodds’ life and work is yet another world premiere milestone in her career. Through his creative pursuits, he is helping to connect the worlds of sports and entertainment.
