Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills Engage in Social Media Banter Following NFL Week 2

Following NFL Week 2, social media exploded with teams using light-hearted trash talk to connect with excited fans. The Dallas Cowboys made headlines on September 14, 2025, when they referenced a memorable quote from the cult classic film “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.” White Goodman, a character portrayed by actor Ben Stiller, once infamously declared, “Nobody makes me bleed my own blood.” This quote was the main highlight in a recent social media post directed at their division rival, the New York Jets.

The playful shot a Buffalo Bills game earlier this season where the Bills were clearly the best team on the field that day. The Bills opened up a flurry, pouring in 20 consecutive points to blitz the Jets. This flurry changed the tide in what had been a highly contested match. Quarterback Josh Allen exited the game for a period after suffering a bloody nose. The Cowboys were smart enough to see where the opening lay and leapt feet first into social media trolling.

Buffalo Bills’ Dominance and Josh Allen’s Performance

The Bills put on a remarkable show on the field that evening, putting all questions or thoughts to rest about just how good they might be. After being down for much of the contest, they stormed back to score 20 unanswered points vs the Jets. Allen’s bloody nose did not deter the quarterback from an impressive comeback. After missing just two plays, he rebounded to pass for 148 yards and rush for 59 more.

Running back James Cook had a breakout game! He led the ground game with an impressive 7 carries for 132 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. His tremendous efforts in a multitude of ways paved the way to the team’s success and showcased just how strong the Bills’ offense was. Allen’s accurate arm and Cook’s nimble running kept Buffalo ahead as they never trailed in the entire contest. This musical pair finally helped the team figure out how to win.

Cowboys’ Overtime Drama and Social Media Playfulness

Our Dallas Cowboys had to overcome some major and difficult obstacles in a hard fought game. In the process, they pulled out all the dramatic stops to win it. They required a 64-yard game-tying field-goal attempt to send the game to overtime and an even shorter, 46-yard try to seal the victory. The drama escalated even further as fans witnessed their favorite team’s fight against the odds.

The Cowboys took the league by storm and punched back on social media. They even alluded to Allen’s bloody nose with the classic line, “Nobody makes me bleed my own blood,” from the movie, underscoring their swagger. This hilarious little dig did not just bring a few chuckles to fans, it highlighted the cutthroat nature of NFL rivalries.

Other Notable Week 2 Highlights

Earlier this week, the San Francisco 49ers made headlines by going into New Orleans and taking down the Saints 26-21. With this victory, they take home their second-straight Championship victory! Quarterback Mac Jones threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns, dominating the action and “raising the play of those around” him.

And look who was enjoying their first win of the season — the Seattle Seahawks! They crushed the talkative Pittsburgh Steelers with a 17-point fourth quarter blitz.
