Dak Prescott Eyes Return as Cowboys Strive for Super Bowl Glory

Dak Prescott
, the enduring quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, is focused on leading his team to new heights after a challenging season. Prescott, who has been with the Cowboys for several years, is determined to break the team’s long-standing Super Bowl drought. The Cowboys have not played in a Super Bowl or appeared in a conference title game for 29 seasons. Prescott has witnessed the Philadelphia Eagles’ ascent as they won two Super Bowls in the last eight years, including their recent victory in Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Prescott's 2024 season was cut short due to a hamstring injury that required surgery, limiting him to just eight games. Since then, he has been diligently rehabilitating at The Star, the Cowboys' training facility. Now 12 weeks post-surgery, Prescott's health is improving steadily. He aims to be ready for the start of the offseason program in the spring, as he continues to regain strength and mobility.

"So credit to them. They've earned it, and they deserve it by all means. But, yeah, [we're] very close." – Dak Prescott

The quarterback will be playing under his third head coach in 2025, with Brian Schottenheimer taking over the reins. Previously, Prescott played under Jason Garrett from 2016 to 2019 and Mike McCarthy from 2020 to 2024. Despite a 7-10 finish in the 2024 season, Prescott remains optimistic about the team's potential and is eager to see how they will perform under new leadership.

"Especially even watching the NFC championship and those two teams — teams that we battle against each and every year a couple of times. As I said, [I] feel confident that we've gotten the better part each and every time. But just seeing such a dominating fashion [in Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs], credit to them. It's our turn and it's on us." – Dak Prescott

Prescott has been a cornerstone of the Cowboys since joining the team and continues to demonstrate resilience and commitment. As he progresses in his rehabilitation journey, his focus remains on preparing for the upcoming season and leading the Cowboys to success.
