Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of the Portugal national team, is reportedly close to agreeing on a new contract with Al Nassr. In January 2023, the football star shocked fans by signing with the Saudi Arabian club. His existing contract is set to end at the end of this month. This leads to Ronaldo dropping his price and deciding that he wants to be at home in Saudi Arabia. He is looking forward to starting his new professional adventure in that dynamic community.
Ronaldo has recently turned down offers to participate in the Club World Cup, where his great rival Lionel Messi is playing for Inter Miami. He was presented with plenty of opportunities to sign for other teams throughout the opening transfer window. Though, he went with his heart and remained committed to Al Nassr.

Sky Sports [owned by the same company as Manchester] reports that Ronaldo held multiple offers, but most recently turned a number down. His dedication to Al Nassr is evident as well. Well, if the word on the street is good, it sounds like he’s getting set to renew his deal with the club.
Ronaldo has been in fine form for Portugal, too. His major role in their airy Nations League win backs up his conviction that spending one more season at Al Nassr will keep him fresh enough to go for a fifth World Cup gold next summer. When that day comes, he’ll be 41, and he’s still working hard to stay competitive and strong.

In the present day, Ronaldo is at 938 career goals and hopes to get to 1,000 goals before retiring. This ambition continues to fuel him and keep him in the game and playing at such a high level.

Ronaldo has been quite vocal about how he believes the quality of football within the Saudi Pro League is rapidly improving.
