Particularly this season, as the Washington Commanders are returning to their roots of championship-winning glory! Get an opportunity to reveal a new special alternate uniform in time for the 2025 season. This change honors their classic tradition. It pays tribute to the color scheme they used prior to rebranding and changing their name and jerseys in 2022. The Commanders, who won the Super Bowl in 1983, 1987, and 1991, will honor that legacy during their season. For three games each of them, they’ll be donning their recently restored, deeply revered uniforms of burgundy-and-gold.

Expect to see the Commanders sporting their throwback threads during key divisional playoff races in 2025. They’ll be sporting their traditional burgundy-and-gold look with pride. This swank duds will first hit the field in a Sunday Night Home game against the Seattle Seahawks on November 2. They’ll honor this old-school look a second time on November 30 when they play the Denver Broncos. The Hall of Fame team is going to finish out its regular season with a bang. They’ll wear throwback uniforms during their home finale against the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Day.

The Commanders aren’t the only team embracing the revival of classic uniforms. In addition to these three, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced that they will be going back to their original uniforms from their first season for 2025. Orange jerseys, as part of a throwback combination, have been in the Buccaneers’ arsenal since 2009. Now, they’re going back to their roots for a few specially chosen games! What’s curious is that their inaugural uniforms lasted just a single season.

The Los Angeles Chargers have been lightning striking twice on the headlines as well, rolling out two new alternate looks for the 2025 season. Introducing our new designs — “Charger Power” uniforms! Retail versions of the now-infamous powder blue pants, which can be worn with either the home powder blue uniform or the road white top. This addition is intended to shake up their design aesthetic but keep enough of what their fans love to preserve.

The New Orleans Saints just debuted a sweet new helmet. This refreshing change takes its place among the wave of lightning-fast uniform makeovers sweeping the league this spring.
