The Indianapolis Colts welcomed new cornerback Sauce Gardner to practice on Wednesday, igniting excitement within the team’s headquarters and locker room. Gardner, recently acquired from the New York Jets in a blockbuster trade that included two first-round draft picks and receiver Adonai Mitchell, is eager to make an immediate impact. If he passes the concussion protocol, he’ll be in uniform for the Colts’ next game. They’re going to be playing against the Atlanta Falcons in Berlin.
Colts head coach Shane Steichen confirmed the team’s intention for Gardner to play, emphasizing the importance of his addition as they aim to bolster their defense. Meanwhile, Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin, who played well on the field after the trade, described how the mood improved after the deal.

His former college teammate and close friend Alec Pierce told Gardner that he was convinced the trade would help bring him back to life. The Colts’ org clearly cares about their lesser season, with new QB Daniel Jones confirming the org’s dedication to their new lines.
