What an amazing match that overcame some great hurdles. A two-hour weather delay kept the start of the action way late on the day.
Chelsea and Benfica met in the final at a neutral venue. Both teams played intensely, battling to keep their hopes of winning the 20210 Challenge Cup alive and advance to the quarterfinals. While those stormy conditions originally delayed kickoff, Chelsea would prove to be a team with heart and grit in the atmosphere that followed. The tie dragged into extra-time, giving Chelsea the chance to build on their momentum and go on to overpower their Portuguese counterparts.
Chelsea went on to win the match handily 4-1. The caliber of their play revealed sophisticated strategic moves and coordination between players.
