Charlotte Edwards has been appointed as the head coach of Hampshire's cricket team for the 2025 season, further establishing her prominence in the cricketing world. Alex Hartley, another supporter of Edwards, describes her as a "brilliant, outstanding coach" who can elevate the standards of the England team. Hartley says she has the necessary skills to bring the best out of the team under pressure and help them navigate through their internal conflicts.
"She'll really get hold of this team and she'll know how to make the standards better so they can compete under pressure," Hartley stated.
