Hold on— the Celtics are rolling! Their current winning streak has pulled them even with the 1972-73 and 1974-75 squads for most away wins in Boston history. Should they get two more victories, they will tie the Golden State Warriors’ record for the most road victories in a season. That record is 34 wins and was set during the 2015-16 season. That Warriors team ended that season with an incredible 34-7 overall record on the road.
That dominance on the road shows even more in the fact Boston is the all-time leader with 23 double-digit victories on their opponents’ turf. What an amazing record to behold! It places them within striking distance of the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers, who still own the NBA record for most double-digit victories away from home.
The Celtics have demolished their foes by an otherworldly 404 points over their road games this year. This is especially true given how momentous this achievement is. It’s no small feat considering it comes 26 points shy of the Lakers all-time record for outscoring opponents on the road.
