Dallas Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb, the otherworldly rookie receiver, will be making his return … His state is as follows He is still recovering from the concussion he got in the teams loss to the Detroit Lions on December 4. Lamb crumpled to the ground with the injury late in the third quarter. He jumped up to catch the ball, but sadly, he landed with his head hitting the turf. Luckily for him, he hasn’t had symptoms as he’s gone through the return-to-play protocol. The 10-day gap between games has helped ease the burden on him.
After being sidelined for most of Wednesday’s practice, Lamb showed that he might be on his way to playing against the Minnesota Vikings. His visible recovery without symptoms has coaches and teammates more optimistic than ever.
“He’s responded great. Just came in like a pro, as I expected him to do,” – Dak Prescott
Then, of course, there’s his history with concussions. The only game he missed in 2021 was due to a concussion. Looking back, he says he’d have no qualms about going back himself.
“Nah, in a situation like that, bro, as far as getting hurt or getting a concussion, it’s not like you’re thinking about, ‘Oh, what if? What if I get hurt again?’” – CeeDee Lamb
To continue raising awareness about cyclist safety, Lamb made a helmet switch recently. He understands it’s not worth it so he now wears a Guardian Cap at practice. He made it clear that he does not intend to be wearing this cap during any games.
The timing of Lamb’s injury and subsequent recovery has shown to be beneficial for both him and the team. Before the concussion, he was putting up video game-esque averages of 100-110 yards a contest. More importantly, it was unconfirable and arguably a mistake.
Dak Prescott sounded convinced that the sky is going to be the limit for Lamb. He noted that Lamb had a strong week practicing. This thorough preparation, he hopes, will yield excellent performance on the field come game-day.
“When you’re playing to the level he is and to the standard or anybody’s expectations when you play the way that he does … he owns that. He’s had a hell of a week of practice, and he’s going to continue to finish that way. There’s no doubt all that is going to just transpire into the game,” – Dak Prescott
In a show of camaraderie, Lamb defended fellow receiver George Pickens against criticism, signaling his commitment to supporting his teammates.
