Cedric Tillman Set to Return for Browns Against Jets as Shedeur Sanders Resumes Backup Role

Cedric Tillman, wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns, is expected to play in the upcoming road game against the New York Jets after being listed as questionable. Coach Kevin Stefanski made it very clear that Tillman will be on the field on Sunday. This is his first action since he missed four games with a hamstring injury that put him on injured reserve.

>Tillman has been a playmaker this season, with 11 catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns till this point. His return to the lineup after their Week 9 bye is absolutely critical for the Browns. Isaiah Bond, the other speedy wide receiver on their roster, is out right now with a foot injury. Bond’s absence is significant. He had seen an uptick in snaps over the past month, indicating his growing importance to the team’s offensive strategy.

In addition to Tillman’s return, Shedeur Sanders will step back into his role as the backup quarterback after being inactive during the Browns’ Week 8 loss to the New England Patriots due to a back injury. The rookie quarterback returns with new life under center for the Browns’ developing offense. Now they are getting ready to face the Jets on Thursday night.

The Browns face a challenging opponent in the Jets, who will look to capitalize on any weaknesses in Cleveland’s lineup. In addition to Tillman and Sanders, others who joined the list as questionable are Harold Fannin Jr., Carson Schwesinger and Cornelius Lucas. All four of their statuses will be monitored closely in the hours leading up to game time.
