With this latest victory, Alcaraz became the first player in history. He became the youngest player to win two back-to-back men’s singles titles in Paris since his idol Rafael Nadal. Nadal’s age when he won his fifth major championship at Wimbledon in 2008 was 22 years, one month and three days. His victory represented a remarkable triumph in his own political career.
