Bryce James, the younger son of NBA superstar LeBron James recently achieved some big milestones. He was able to celebrate his high school graduation and go to his senior prom! Those proceedings unfolded in suburban Los Angeles, where Bryce graduated from Sierra Canyon School. Demanding a sea change, his family, including LeBron and Savannah James, were there to cheer him on as he celebrated these momentous firsts.
In March, Bryce made headlines at the national level when he successfully led the Sierra Canyon basketball team to a state championship victory. Together, they won the CIF Division I state championship! The squad sealed the trophy with an emphatic victory over Lincoln of Stockton to demonstrate their firepower and youthful passion. The championship victory would prove to be one of the defining moments of Bryce’s storied high school basketball career. In his final season of high school, he averaged 8.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
On January 1 of this year, Bryce announced his commitment to play college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats, a decision he proudly shared on Instagram with the caption “100% committed.” His commitment indicates that he is serious about taking his game to the next level, and beyond what he accomplished at Sierra Canyon.
To his senior prom, Bryce took a fashionable risk by breaking tradition and showing up in an all-black Louis Vuitton suit with loafers. Savannah James, LeBron James’ mother, posted to her Instagram story to share her pride in her son’s achievements.
“So proud of you and all the hard work you’ve done to get to this point. This is only the beginning! Keep striving to be the absolute best version of you! Love you more than words can explain and so excited to see what the future has for you!! I love you stink!!” – Savannah James
Bryce’s contributions extend far beyond the court. He is the older brother of Zhuri James and the younger brother of Bronny James, who plays guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. As he graduates from Sierra Canyon School, Bryce leaves behind a legacy of hard work and success on and off the court.
