Brock Bowers Set to Make Impact Return for Raiders After Knee Injury

Weighing in on Brock Bowers, the Las Vegas Raiders tight end, defense continues to trend upwards. After missing three consecutive games with a knee injury, he’s completely healed and looks to be back at 100 again. He was a complete go in practice on Wednesday. Confident about his health and outlook, he noted that he feels “closer now” to being at 100%.

He hurt the acute hamstring injury in the Raiders’ week 1 win against the New England Patriots. The significant injury was a posterior cruciate ligament tear associated with a bone bruise in his left knee. Bowers logged all of Weeks 2–4, but not without fighting through pain and injury. Even with the injury, he still ended up catching 14 passes for 122 yards, 8.7 yards per catch.

Bowers was sidelined the first two weeks of practice, making his return on October 17. He took part in both practices during the bye week and continued his conditioning on Monday. He called the feeling of being shut down “brutal,” especially when the coaching staff told him to stop playing.

“The first part of the season was tough [and] not feeling 100%, but I’m closer now. But it’s in the past. I’m excited to get back out there.” – Brock Bowers

Bowers has been an important key for the Raiders’ offensive game plan. His return is dauntingly important, not to mention the team has been daunted by an actually catastrophic state of affairs with regards to their passing attack. The Raiders have gained just 946 total passing yards in their last half dozen games. Fans and analysts alike are looking forward to seeing how Bowers will enhance the team’s offensive potential.

Ahead of the Raiders’ upcoming matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Bowers is optimistic about contributing to the team’s revival. Along with his boisterous celebration, he shouted – “Let’s go!” or “I’m ready to roll!” This reflected his dedication to reuniting with his teammates and making an impact on the field.

As Bowers looks to regain his form, the Raiders hope his presence will help stabilize their struggling offense and provide much-needed support as they aim to improve their passing game performance.
