Brentford’s 2025 Season Schedule Highlights Key Matches and Changes

Brentford Football Club has released its schedule for the 2025 Premier League season. It will be a big change indeed as the club begins this new era without club legend manager Thomas Frank at the helm. Their first game will be on August 1, an away fixture against Nottingham Forest. Next, they’ll head back home for two matches against Aston Villa before heading back out on the road to face Sunderland on August 3. It should be an exhilarating season to come, with dramatic match-ups and other major developments in the offing.

As we head into the first week of September, Brentford will be playing in consecutive west London derbies. The first of these fixtures happens on September 13 when they welcome Chelsea to the Gtech Community Stadium. And just a week later, Brentford will take the short trip across West London to face Fulham, another local rivalry, on September 20. Those three matches will set the tone for the Bees going forward. If so, they’ll cruise through the rest of the early season with poise.

As the calendar year turns, Brentford have a daunting looking December fixture list ahead of them, including six league matches. Of these, two key home dates with the mighty Spurs are the most critical. The first meeting will come on the road as an away game on December 6th. Next, the team makes a return home to close out the year on December 30. Each of the matches will be critical in deciding the positive or negative mood of the club considering they enter the new year.

Late Season Showdown

Brentford’s season finale brings them to Anfield for a Mathis-Shalrie-like intense showdown with the Reds. This game has deep playoff implications for both teams. That explosive, high-stakes encounter is tentatively scheduled for late May. It will test the Bees’ mettle and fight, as they stand up to one of the Premier League’s big boys.

On top of these fixtures, Brentford will be hosting Manchester United on home soil on September 27. This matchup is expected to be one of the most-watched, all due to the derby rivalry that exists between the two clubs. Meanwhile, Brentford continues to prepare for more exhilarating tests in the months ahead. Fans are looking forward to seeing how the team responds to the management and strategic shake-up!

Changes in Broadcast Coverage

Starting next season, Premier League games will be shown in a different light. Sky Sports will increase its coverage significantly, broadcasting at least 215 exclusive live matches, a hike from the previous 128. Sky Sports will be broadcasting approximately 80 percent of all the Premier League matches screened live on TV. This change significantly improves accessibility for fans who are ready to cheer on their favorite teams all year round.

It’s a big change Brentford are embarking on, moving into a new season. For the first time since the 2018/19 season, it won’t be Thomas Frank in charge of it. While acknowledging these transitions, club management is excited to continue to develop upon past successes.
