Big Face Coffee, the brainchild of NBA star Jimmy Butler, has officially opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Miami's bustling design district. The new store celebrated its grand opening on December 6, 2024. This event can be seen as the culmination of Butler’s coffee journey that was born out of his NBA Bubble experience in 2020. Butler is famous for sticking to a $20 per cup price, regardless of size or type of drink served up in his high-end French press. More recently, his brand has transformed into a more classic coffee shop environment.
The story of Big Face Coffee’s evolution from a personal, in-home passion project to an established storefront perfectly mirrors Butler’s go-getter nature. On their new home’s menu, coffees and tea range from $4 – $10 depending on what you order. This pricing brings it in reach of many more people than its royal roots would imply. It’s the Miami store that will mark Butler’s first permanent Big Face Coffee location, a meaningful first step for the athlete-turned-businessman.
Heat player and NBA star Jimmy Butler said he was excited about the store’s grand opening in an Instagram story. He used the platform to introduce a hilarious new non-policy policy! Repairers posted a theme-specific sign that uncovered an unexpected secret. Even employees of the Golden State Warriors will pay more for a cup of joe at the new roastery. Butler was one of the haul of internationals that the Warriors acquired at last month’s NBA trade deadline. This biting shot comes on the heels of his three game suspensions by the Miami Heat.
Butler, a six-time All-Star, has immediately made the new-look Sixers a championship contender. He’s averaging 17.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists over 19 games this season. His transition from Miami to the Warriors is underscored by a notable upcoming match against his former team in Miami on Tuesday.
Butler said he was “extremely gratified.”
"It's so surreal because this is another thing I said I wanted to do, and I went out and made it happen," said Jimmy Butler III.
