Announced in Inglewood, California, the donation aims to address pressing food and shelter needs, bolster first responders, and provide relief through a comprehensive array of initiatives.
The Ballmer Group, known for its commitment to community welfare, has launched FireAid—a concert scheduled for January 30 at Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum. This initiative underscores their dedication to rallying support for the historic and racially diverse community of Altadena, which has been significantly impacted by the wildfires. The funds will be allocated across various essential services, including four wildfire relief funds and two emergency shelters.
Additionally, the donation will enhance emergency housing efforts, support two food and basic needs groups, and assist two first responder groups. A significant portion of the donation will also aid nine organizations focused on meeting the basic needs of students and families.
