Monsters is a weekly, live, interactive alternate telecast that makes a fun twist on the classic football viewing experience. Get ready for one of the coolest competitions around! Favorite characters from Disney and Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.” will be added to the field as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
This new, cutting-edge altcast is designed to pull fans deep into the colorful, high-energy setting of Monsters, Inc. headquarters. Look for fan favorites Mike Wazowski and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan decked out in their team colors! Portland’s own Mike Wazowski, voiced by Billy Crystal, will be repping the Eagles with pride. At the same time, Sulley, animated by Pixar’s John Goodman, will be getting ready for the Chargers.
Roz, the fan-favorite character from Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.,” is in charge of sideline reporting duties. Throughout the game, she’ll keep fans amused with her sharp commentary and informative observations. Roz is still voiced by the incomparable Bob Peterson, which undoubtedly helps keep her character’s likeness to that from the original animated film intact.
“Monsters Funday Football” is the third animated altcast in this special series, following the successful launches of “Toy Story Funday Football” in 2023 and “The Simpsons Funday Football.” The latter hosted a thrilling game that saw the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Dallas Cowboys at Springfield’s Atoms Stadium.
