On the other end of the spectrum is Amazon, which revealed its NBA Cup broadcast schedule on Wednesday. Prime Video will stream 17 games of this summer’s highly anticipated tournament, including the championship match. The announcement coincides with basketball fans’ excitement for the upcoming 2023 season.
The NBA Cup will consist of a series of group games and knockout rounds, with Prime Video set to air 10 group games along with the knockout stages. Earlier this week, the league revealed games for notable dates, including opening night, Christmas Day, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Stay tuned in December when we reveal the other two games each team will be playing. This announcement will be contingent on their success in the NBA Cup.
The tourney starts with an all NBA-teen matchup on November 7, as Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs welcome the Houston Rockets to town. After that, on November 14, Miami takes on New York and the Golden State Warriors take on San Antonio.
On that day, November 21st, Cleveland will play host to Indiana, and the Denver Nuggets will travel to Houston. As that fateful date of November 28 approaches, basketball fans everywhere will be winning. For example, Milwaukee Bucks versus New York will be going to New York and the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Dallas Mavericks, featuring LeBron James.
The complete schedule will include 80 of 82 games for each team participating. Scheduled for launch THIS Thursday! Additionally, it was announced that the remaining 50 group games will be distributed among ESPN, NBC, and NBA League Pass.
Group play opens on November 25, LIVE on NBC. Most importantly, you won’t want to miss the exciting matchup between Philadelphia and Orlando as well as the LA Clippers visiting their in-city rival Lakers! Notably, the Golden State Warriors, led by Steph Curry, will match up against the Denver Nuggets, with star player Nikola Jokic.
