For Chelsea forward Aggie Beever-Jones, 2025 has been the greatest year of her life. As she pitches to the Boston crowd, her incredible journey still seems like a dream to them. The gifted forward made the difference to propel the England national team to the historic 2022 UEFA Women’s Euro championship title. At the same time, she was enjoying a domestic treble of her own with her club. Her accolades have already made her one of the rising stars of women’s football, England’s all-time leading scorer.
In an exclusive interview, Beever-Jones revealed just why 2025 has her excited and how important the obstacles that her squad overcame at the Euros were. Even after dropping their opening game to France, the group showed heart and grit, going on to win the whole tournament. Just look at our first game losing against France and going on to lift the trophy. It demonstrates the faith and trust in the team,” she said, underscoring the development within the group.
Beever-Jones explained how valuable it is for teammates to freely express their feelings during honest conversations in order to better each other’s performance. We had some brutal discussions about what it would take to do better. That was the key difference between us and everyone else,” she shared. Camaraderie was through the roof across the long day of tournament play. Players such as Chloe Kelly, Lauren James and Lucy Bronze battled through their injuries to go the distance for their comrades.
The forward’s sunny disposition is contagious, and throughout our conversation, she painted a vivid picture of the happiness and success. When we made our way down The Mall and finally saw our families, a wall of emotion washed over us. Our first reaction was like, ‘We did it! That time really brought home our win, she reminisced. The image of her and teammate Niamh Charles dancing around the trophy underscored the thrill of their achievement: “It was insane. I remember me and Niamh dancing around the trophy and then thinking, ‘why have we done that?’”
As much as her domestic form deserves recognition, Beever-Jones has been vital to the success of England’s international campaign too. She was part of the squad for her first major tournament at the Euros. She was responsible enough to be playing with her equally gifted teammates Jess Park, Grace Clinton, Maya Le Tissier, Khiara Keating, and Michelle Agyemang. The move served to highlight her astounding artistry. It solidified her role as one of the most important players for the national team.
As for Beever-Jones, she’s hopeful for what’s to come. He understands the man challenges while playing in World Cup qualifying and it’s undoubtedly going to be highlighted the match up against the defending champion, Spain. None of that gets her down. In fact, she’s excited about what’s to come. “I think I play my best football when I’m just, you know, out there and chill,” she said. I’ll smile all the way through the season and hope that next year we’re all celebrating a winning season together!
Her commitment to improvement is unwavering. I have to sit back and process how this year and say, ‘What a year!’ I mean, I want to recognize all that we’ve done and be excited for 2026, she said.

Her path has certainly not been smooth sailing. Regardless, she represents the fighting ethos that characterizes English soccer. Beever-Jones praised her teammates as powerful and resilient women.
