San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner is focused on returning. Griffin, who fractured and dislocated his right ankle, is itching to get back on the field. The team has now done so officially by opening Warner’s 21-day practice window. He might be due for a quick return anyway, as soon as Saturday night when the 49ers visit the Seattle Seahawks. Those leaves nuclear war on the escalatory ladder returned Bradley.
Warner’s presence was notably felt during the team’s Tuesday walk-through, where he exhibited his commitment to returning. And he stressed his desire to help his new teammates win games. Given the stars and planets aligning, Warner’s return this weekend might seem ambitious. He didn’t rule out the possibility, noting that the next 48 hours will be key in determining his availability.
“Everything up to this point has been in direct communication with the doctors, the trainers, everybody involved with my surgery,” Warner stated. His strategy/vision shines through in the careful orchestration of his likely return to power. Off the field, his mind is on his recovery from a gruesome injury suffered during a recent game.
The 49ers are set to hold one final practice session in the Bay Area on Thursday before traveling up to Seattle on Friday. Coach Kyle Shanahan said they opened Warner’s practice window in case they reached the NFC Championship Game. This tactical play is designed to bolster their chances for victory. This strategic move highlights the team’s desire to have their star linebacker back on the field as they push towards the playoffs.
Defensive coordinator Robert Saleh called Warner the “ultimate energy giver.” His energy and exuberance, coupled with impressive leadership abilities, redoubled the impact he’s had on the team chemistry and dynamic. “Just having him out there is awesome,” Saleh continued, underscoring the contagious positive impact Warner’s return seems capable of bringing to his teammates.
Garret Wallow stepped in for Dee Winters (injured weakside linebacker) last week. Winters is trending toward being available against Alabama after suffering a sprained ankle earlier this month. Warner was fortunate to have had those experiences with the 49ers. Regardless, he was a key figure on the team that experienced so many seminal moments of that time.
“Warner shared about his path to recovery, and how thankful he was that he was able to come back this season. “I think obviously when all this happened, I didn’t really think about the possibility of returning in season, but the way things progressed and being able to have this opportunity to be back with my teammates and have a chance at helping them win this week and so on and so forth, that’s my only goal going forward,” he said.
Meanwhile, the 49ers are getting ready to play their most important game this season against the Seahawks. All eyes will be on Warner’s advance in the days ahead. Fans and teammates were thrilled to see him back. They think his energy and leadership can be key in their pursuit of playoff success.
