At 39 years old, Tye brings a wealth of experience to the team, having previously made 32 T20 appearances for Australia. Tye is recognized as one of the leading bowlers in T20 cricket, holding the distinction of being the second-highest wicket-taker in the Big Bash League with an impressive tally of 86 wickets. His other domestic T20 league experience includes productive tenures with Gloucestershire, Durham, and Northants in domestic T20 leagues.
