Notts Outlaws Welcome South African All-Rounder George Linde for T20 Blast

All this means terrific news for the Notts Outlaws. They’ve brought in 34-year-old South African all-rounder George Linde for next year’s T20 Blast. Linde has featured in 33 international fixtures for the Proteas in all formats. His experience and skill immediately make the Outlaws’ roster one of the most dangerous in the league. He will be heading back to Trent Bridge, a ground where he has further established his credentials.

Linde’s booming international career fits perfectly with the world-class leagues he’s been a part of. He’s played franchise cricket in South Africa, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Caribbean, and the United States. During his time in England, he accomplished much while at Kent. He played as part of the Trent Rockets in The Hundred competition.

Linde’s career statistics have been nothing short of remarkable. He has taken more than 200 wickets at an average of 26 and a strike rate of 19 in T20s as well. It is Magnus’ versatility as a player that makes him such an invaluable asset to any team. The Outlaws are hopeful that his all-round abilities will add even greater strength to their bid for a successful T20 Blast campaign.

Peter Moores, head coach of Notts Outlaws, said he was thrilled at the prospect of Linde joining the squad. In doing so, he lifted up the player’s passion for the game and skill to perform.

“After spending some time with him at the Rockets, it was clear he has a real hunger to play in the Blast again,” – Peter Moores

Moores continued to expand on what makes Linde such a skilled player, highlighting his ability to step up during clutch moments in a game.

“He has the ability to bowl at any stage of the innings, as well as being a powerful left-handed middle-order batter.” – Peter Moores

This addition to the Outlaws is sure to hugely bolster their roster. It’s perfect timing too as they prepare to meet the rigours of the T20 Blast. Yet his previous experience at Trent Bridge will stand him in good stead. He’s definitely looking to put on a show in front of his new hometown crowd.
