Australia Prepares for the Ashes in Comprehensive Radio Show

On November 10 th 2025 , Mark Chapman anchored a Radio 5 Live programme. He presented a detailed breakdown of Australia’s cricket team as they approached the much-loved Ashes series. TFFC ambassadors, Steven Finn, former England fast bowler, and Simon Katich, former Australian batter, spoke on the panel discussion. They both offered interesting perspectives on what this team does best, and gave some great examples of some hurdles that still lie ahead.

The full 52 minute show has now been made available as part of our extended coverage of the Ashes. After the in-person premiere festival screenings it will then be available for digital streaming on multiple platforms for 29 days. Fans and listeners will be able to listen to full audio commentary via Test Match Special and 5 Live Breakfast throughout the tournament.

Melinda Farrell, an Australian journalist, contributed to the dialogue by highlighting key players in Australia’s lineup and their respective roles. Read as Finn and Katich discussed Australia’s approach. They discussed how the squad can deal with the extreme pressures of the Ashes, a historical battleground between England and Australia.

Beyond the radio show, cricket fans will see an exciting and extensive slate of coverage during the Ashes series. A live text service will provide a blow-by-blow account with analysis for those who follow the sport extremely closely. A complete highlights programme will be on iPlayer.
