Cori Clingman, a 25-year-old Brockport woman, has pleaded guilty to several charges stemming from a fatal three-car accident. This tragic crash on July 6, 2024, resulted in the death of three individuals. To be clear, Clingman was driving an Infiniti Q50 at the time of the crash. She was accused of driving under the influence at speeds exceeding 100 mph. She’ll still have to serve three years in prison due to a plea agreement. Sentencing is scheduled for February 4.
Before entering his plea agreement, Clingman had been charged with 13 different counts stemming from the incident. For each new count, prosecutors intend to recommend a five-year sentence. They plan to change all but one of those to time served, served consecutively. Clingman and her two passengers were uninjured in the crash. The driver of the Chevrolet Impala that hit her was uninjured.
The accident began when Clingman’s Infiniti ran a red light and crashed into a Dodge Charger. The severity of her actions prompted Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Tara Jackson to address the circumstances surrounding the incident.
