Chelsea Looks to Cole Palmer’s Return Ahead of Key Matches

Chelsea Football Club can’t be more excited about Cole Palmer’s arrival. They’re preparing for two crucial showdowns with rivals FC Barcelona and Arsenal FC later this month. The creative and quick-footed winger has been out with a groin injury since September. He will definitely miss Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Qarabag, extending his absence to nine straight games.

Head coach Enzo Maresca was even hopeful about Palmer potentially returning after the next international break. He admitted that timing is still very much up in the air. “We hope so but with Cole, we try to schedule the beginning and then we need to review that,” Maresca stated.

Palmer’s injury was originally estimated as a six-week recovery time. As November approaches, Chelsea supporters will be waiting with bated breath for pleasing news of his return. Maresca explained how Palmer isn’t currently going through team training due to his absence. “We go day by day with Cole. He is not taking any sessions with the team,” he said.

The coach emphasized Palmer’s importance to the squad, noting, “I would like to have Cole here tomorrow. We’d like to have Cole every game. I’ve said many times that we are a better team with Cole. Unfortunately for us it’s out, it’s injury, but for sure we want him back very soon.”

Chelsea are not willing to risk Palmer on their trip to Azerbaijan for the Champions League match against Qarabag. This decision is intended to guard his recovery. In the meantime, Neto has proven himself up to the task, playing 85 minutes in Chelsea’s 3-1 win against rivals Tottenham the other week.

Chelsea FC will play their Club World Cup opponents, FC Barcelona, in a much-anticipated home match on November 25. Just five days later, they’ll be up against Arsenal. The reappearance of Palmer may play a key role in determining how well Chelsea fares during these crucial fixtures.

Maresca mentioned Benoit Badiashile, who’s expected to be back after the international break. This exciting news should serve as a good shot in the arm for the team as they head into this critical stretch.

Palmer’s return is up in the air too. Fans and analysts alike already can’t stop talking about his possible role in our upcoming clash against Barcelona. As Chelsea gears up for these decisive matches, the club will still be keeping a close eye on Palmer’s rehabilitation.
