Kyle Lowry, the veteran point guard, has officially entered the 20-season club in the NBA, a prestigious group that includes legends such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Jamal Crawford, and Udonis Haslem. At 39 years old, Lowry continues to surprise the doubters throughout the league. Over two decades later, he plays for the Philadelphia 76ers, the team he grew up rooting for in the City of Brotherly Love.
Lowry’s career path started with the Houston Rockets and passed through the Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat before landing him in Toronto. He is perhaps best known for his approaching decade-long run as GM of the Toronto Raptors. During that time, he went on to cement his legacy as maybe the best player ever to wear a franchise pillow. He drilled his first 3-pointer, proving that he’s still got the talents that brought him six All-Star appearances during his career. Despite not logging significant game minutes this season, Lowry has been an invaluable asset to his teammates, including rising star Tyrese Maxey.
