Grizzlies’ Ja Morant Faces Suspension After Tense Postgame Exchange

In a statement today, the Memphis Grizzlies stated that guard Ja Morant has been suspended indefinitely. This decision followed a contentious postgame interview with interim coach Tuomas Iisalo. Morant’s 117-112 lackluster performance in a Friday night loss to the Los Angeles Lakers was the final straw. He ended up with a season-low eight points and was off with his shooting touch, going just 3-of-14 from the floor.
