Marcus Jones was a third-round selection of the 2022 NFL Draft at No. 84 overall. Since then, we’ve seen him redefine what it means to be a dominant force in the league. Standing at 5-foot-8 and 188 pounds, he has played in 39 regular-season NFL games, while starting 19 of those games. His career totals include 138 tackles and five interceptions, proving he can impact the game defensively.
This season, Jones has played 76% of the defensive snaps, totaling 36 tackles, two interceptions, nine passes defended, and one sack. His contributions have been invaluable in helping the Patriots’ defense become perhaps the most dominant unit in recent memory. He’s been a standout contributor on special teams. He returned 10 punts for 216 yards and one touchdown. In particular, his 87-yard return against New England in Week 4 was impressive enough to net him AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Marcus Jones’s 2022 season was one for the ages. His all around outstanding performance landed him on the first-team All-Pro list as a punt returner. His versatility to succeed on each side of the ball and special teams makes him an indispensable weapon to the Patriots.

Jones celebrated his 27th birthday last Wednesday, an achievement in and of itself given the professional nature of his life.
