“Inside the NBA,” the legendary studio show acclaimed for its extraordinary insight and amazing chemistry, will once again become the pregame, halftime and postgame show for ESPN and ABC’s NBA coverage, starting in the 2025-26 season. This 21-time Emmy Award-winning program will remain in Ernie Johnson’s wheelhouse. He’s going to be accompanied by his new coworkers, immediate coworkers, legendary Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith.
TNT Sports will shoot the series out of its Atlanta studios. This ensures fans will experience the world-class production that they’ve come to know and love. “Inside the NBA” will debut October 22, 2025 on ESPN and ESPN2. This initial airing is the start of a huge anticipated season with up to 18 different airings planned in January, February, March and April of 2026.
“Inside the NBA” will start its coverage one hour before tipoff for games that are on ESPN. For games airing on ABC, the postgame shows that will air after “NBA Saturday Primetime” will begin directly after game coverage ends.
Don’t worry, fans can still tune in to see a second airing of “Inside the NBA” on ESPN on Oct. 23. Two more episodes drop on October 29 and November 12. In addition to the full holiday season, there will be a special holiday broadcast on December 25, airing on both ESPN and ABC.
In addition to the exciting line-up of games and analysis, Keith Jenkins emphasized the anticipation surrounding the show’s return, stating:
