It’s a good time to reemphasize how Mark Sanchez, the 38-year-old former NFL quarterback, is now in the hospital. This incident has everyone buzzing about the end of his broadcasting career. Sanchez, an eight-year NFL veteran who suited up for 72 regular-season games, was selected fifth overall in the 2009 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. He’ll be there this Sunday, as part of the broadcast crew in that first-ever match up between the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts. Now, he will back out of joining the event.

Sanchez went to college at USC, where for three years he entertained crowds. He rose to fame while with the New York Jets. He spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and Washington. His most recent turn in a regular-season game came back in 2018.

It’s being reported that Sanchez continues to recover and is now in stable condition. He is still in the hospital and has yet to be taken into custody over the April 27 incident. What went on to lead to this unusual situation isn’t clear, and we continue to seek more information about what transpired.

The New York Jets released a statement saying they’re thinking of Sanchez and his family during what they called a “difficult time.” They sent a message using Sanchez’s former jersey number, 6, stating, “Sending our thoughts and love to Mark Sanchez and his family. Hoping for a speedy recovery, 6.”

Fox Sports issued a statement on Sanchez’s condition, thanking the medical professionals who have been treating Sanchez.

“We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time,” – Fox Sports
