Higgo’s confidence is evident as he stated, “I’m going to play as if I’m behind tomorrow and be as aggressive as I can be and make as many birdies as I can.” It’s something he’s kept very simple over the course of this tournament. Now, he hopes to capitalize on the momentum he saw during the last three days. The golfer attributes his record-breaking performance to an honed fitness regimen. This is the routine that’s kept him spry and quick despite dealing with a labrum tear he incurred earlier this season.

In looking back on the overall experience this season, Higgo admitted, “I’d say it was a really good battle. His desire to win propels him through adversity. He’s steadfast in playing his game on his terms, free from outside influences such as the FedEx Cup standings.
On the final round Higgo arrives and prepares with a single-mindedness to execute the plan. Get used to it, ’cause he totally leans into the momentum he’s accrued over the course of the tournament.
