Amorim Prepares for Crucial Clash Against Brentford as Doubts Linger

Ruben Amorim, the unlucky recently appointed manager of Manchester United, is at an important crossroads in his very short career. To do so, he would be looking for his first back-to-back Premier League wins. With their next match against Brentford in just a few days, time will be of the essence. Amorim is the key — and appropriately so, as the club looks to continue their success from the past two seasons.

As general manager, Amorim had stunned Manchester United with victories over Feyenoord and AC Milan, reaching the UEFA Europa League semifinals. Most recently, they beat Chelsea handily at Old Trafford. It was the first time during his tenure that the team won back-to-back home games. In spite of these outstanding performances, he admits that outcomes have not always been indicative of his squad’s work rate on the field.

Amorim was adamant about the quality his team has at their disposal. He continued, “I don’t use the term ‘playing well’ because I don’t believe we played well this year. He feels the roster has shown potential and ability on the pitch throughout this campaign. Repeatability is what keeps fans worried that the Broncos can’t win two in a row.

“The next game is going to be the most important game for a long time for Manchester United,” he said, highlighting the significance of their upcoming clash. That day, the manager gave voice to many supporters’ concerns with this simple answer. “It’s normal for the fans, they don’t know what is going to happen in the next game,” he added.

Amorim’s worries are deepened by Manchester United’s vintage patchy nature. The team’s previous victory before Chelsea was a late win over Burnley, but Amorim’s objective remains clear: he is yet to achieve back-to-back wins in the Premier League since taking charge.

Amorim prepares for his tactical battle with Brentford. He certainly bears the weight of expectation, and let’s be real, the responsibility of that expectation lies squarely on him and his squad. He said, “That has to do with the issue of the time that we all live in for so many months. It’s a hard way to live but the best way of dealing with that is that each game is the last one. It’s just not thinking about two games.” This philosophy will be important as the former Grizzlies coach tries to build a more winning culture in the organization.
