Billy Vigar was a highly-touted young footballer brimming with potential. Tragically, he died before his 22nd birthday after sustaining a catastrophic brain injury in a game. He was making a spirited last-minute appearance for Chichester City in an Isthmian League Premier Division match. Despite undergoing surgery Tuesday, Vigar unfortunately passed away from his injuries early Thursday morning.
Vigar’s creative path began in Arsenal’s youth set up. There, he developed a reputation as the most swift, muscular, and intensely driven athlete on the field. He put pen to professional terms with the club in 2022, cementing that early promise. Along with Arsenal, he played with Derby, Hastings, and Eastbourne Borough, leaving a long legacy of his great talent on all four teams.
On display was his preposterous talent on the field, specifically when he played for Chichester City. Talent and the love of the game earned him the adoration of coaches and players alike.
