The incident unfolded late in the third quarter, shortly after Jackson threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, marking a significant moment in the game.
As Jackson celebrated with teammates near the front row of Highmark Stadium, a fan struck both Hopkins and Jackson on the helmet. Before he could react, Jackson shoved the fan away, after which security staff removed the fan from the stadium entirely. The incident only served to further escalate an already chippy game, one that ended in a heartbreaking 41-40 defeat for the Ravens.
From that dispute, Jackson immediately got into discussions with the Ravens’ general manager Eric DeCosta. He got to discuss the event with head coach John Harbaugh. Jackson reiterated his belief that these types of confrontations should not happen on the field of play.

Even after the incident, Jackson says he still hasn’t heard from the league. He’s yet to hear on any proposed disciplinary action involving the actual altercation. Coach Harbaugh expressed confidence in the situation, stating, “As far as I can tell, we’re at a real good spot with that.”
The game featured another significant moment when Ravens running back Derrick Henry scored a 29-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, contributing to the excitement of the match. For many, the bigger story continued to be Jackson’s brutal experience at the hands of the fan.
