Whatever it is, Carragher identified a very important dilemma for Newcastle boss Eddie Howe. Beyond the logistical concerns, he explained that Isak’s uncertain status weighs heavily on the team, mentally and emotionally. It is a cloud over the club all the time,” he said, in a comment directed at the persistent questions about Isak in press conferences. The cloak of uncertainty has been a familiar motif for Howe, who is forced to field questions about Isak’s future on a near-daily basis.
