Ben Geddes broke open the doors to an impressive Dialogue innings with a spectacular 141 not out. A beautiful straight drive for six helped him reach his half-century. Along with him, Hollman – who was there at final wicket – was resolute and determinedly scored an unbeaten 77 to leave England innings 143 all out! They put together an astonishingly productive alliance of 195 for the fifth wicket. This startling turn of events changed the course of the match into Middlesex’s favor after a rough start.
Kent had made things tough for the visitors setting a daunting target of 279 runs. They got to that stunning score following the loss of six wickets within their 50 overs. Jack Leaning led Kent’s batting efforts with an unbeaten 63 runs, while Chris Benjamin contributed 50 runs to the scoreboard. Ben Dawkins played a huge role in the victory with his knock of 48, hitting eight boundaries in his innings.
