Callahan, the Bengals’ offensive coordinator when Burrow was a rookie himself, now employs like systems to maximize Daniels’ effectiveness. He seems committed to getting the most out of Daniels’ unique talents.

He focused on the situation veteran players such as Mariota found themselves in last season. Quinn expressed confidence in his decision-making process regarding the rookie quarterback: “It’s easy to look at the situation and know the high draft pick who played six years of college football was always going to win the job.” This wisdom highlights the thoughtfulness behind the decision to choose Daniels and to create his development trajectory.
