England Women’s Cricket Team Set for Busy Summer with New Zealand and India

In 2024, the England women’s cricket team will lead the way as they return to a busy summer fixture calendar. They’ll then compete against New Zealand and India in a dazzling multi-team international series. Look forward to a four-part electrifying series! It includes three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 Internationals (T20s) with New Zealand and then more T20s scheduled with India.

The action commences in May, with the first ODI against New Zealand scheduled for May at Chester-le-Street, beginning at 11:00. This showdown should start the series with plenty of significance. Our England women can’t wait to get fired up from the very beginning! Following the ODIs, the first T20 clash will take place on May at Derby at 18:30, where fans can expect an exciting display of talent.

The England women’s team will play the New Zealand women’s team later this month. They’ll be gearing up to entertain against India in an exciting background of three T20s in late May/early June. The opening match of this series is set for May at Chelmsford, starting at 18:30. This people’s budget series is incredibly important. It provides an exciting stage for what will be a historic 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in England.

In addition to their regular season of first-class fixtures, the crowning glory of the summer will be a landmark one-off Test match against India, expected in July. This historic event takes place at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground and begins on July 10 at 11:00. And for the England women’s team, this four-day Test match could be a watershed moment. Or perhaps they want to display their skills on a very visible stage.

In September the England women’s side will further the competitive run with an ODI series against the Irish women, three ODIs in total. These matches will only strengthen their preparation for the upcoming World Cup. They will support them in refining strategies and improving internal team alignment and communication.

At the same time as all of this, the England men’s cricket team is preparing for a similarly challenging summer. They will play three Tests against New Zealand starting in June at Lord’s, with matches commencing at 11:00. The men’s team is set to contest five T20 matches followed by a three-match ODI series against India in July. Following that, they will face Pakistan in a three-Test series during August and September. Further, like their men counterparts, they too will go head to head in T20s and ODIs with Sri Lanka in September.

The whole summer of 2024 promises to be an exciting time for cricket in England! The women’s team will be playing a minimum of 18 competitive matches. Those high stakes matches, against arguably the two toughest opponents in New Zealand and India, set a dreamy stage for an exhilarating cricket summer. This electric atmosphere is sure to excite FIFA soccer fans and players as well!
