Zach Tom, an integral part of the Green Bay Packers’ offensive line, has finalized a four-year contract extension worth $88 million. His contract comes with a gargantuan $30.2 million signing bonus. This bonus is the largest ever awarded to an offensive lineman in NFL history. This major extension is a big boost to the Packers as they look ahead to the start of the new season, with training camp just around the corner.
Tom was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He didn’t take long to prove himself as one of the most dependable players on the Packers’ roster. Counting his last two seasons at Ohio State, he’s started count em every game (39 starts in his first three years). Tom’s versatility is perhaps his most impressive quality. He’s started 34 games at right tackle, four at left tackle and one at left guard. His play over the course of last season richly deserves recognition. He was a close third in the All-Pro voting among RTs, trailing only Penei Sewell and Lane Johnson.
