As the NFL gears up for the 2025 season, a host of emerging talents are capturing the attention of fans and analysts alike. Keep an eye on NFL prospects such as quarterback Drake Maye, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and tight end Brock Bowers. We do mean the best of the best. So far, each player has exceeded expectations in their individual contributions to their respective teams. They definitely look poised to take their new productions to even further heights going into next season.
>Drake Maye had a pretty darn impressive rookie year, ranking sixth among all quarterbacks in rushing yards per game. Despite the odds stacked against him, he did manage to score 17 total touchdowns while severely hurting your fantasy squad with 16 turnovers against those touchdowns. His pogo stick playing style and ability to escape and create are on full display. With the 2025 season as his horizon, he has low-end QB1 upside. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs as he’s still learning and adjusting to the demands and physicality of professional football.
Marvin Harrison Jr. Shines Bright
Marvin Harrison Jr. was the clear star among 2024 NFL Draft prospects. His selection isn’t merely an indication of skill and appreciation for his boundless potential. Despite being a rookie, he made an immediate impact as an integral playmaker on his team. His jaw-dropping abilities led to extensive comparisons to many of the league’s top wideouts. His combination of route finesse to create separation and ability to make contested catches have made Engram a go-to target on their quarterbacks.
No one could deny the influence Harrison had on the game. He had an uncanny ability to create value everywhere, turning him into a winner in fantasy lineups. Harrison enters his second season riding a wave of expectation. Fans want to see him continue from his impressive rookie start and become an undeniable top impact player in the wide out group.
Dominance of Brock Bowers
As a rookie, Brock Bowers proved to be a rare talent, instantly becoming one of the most productive tight ends in NFL history. He tallied a stellar 112 receptions, a mark that only two other tight ends have accomplished before him. His versatility and ability to stretch the field make him a nightmare weapon for any offense.
With Bowers, they would enter, and likely finish, the 2024 season with their TE1. He was a reliable target for QBs, particularly when the game was on the line. During that span, specifically in Weeks 17 & 18, he shined with 14 grabs for an average of 23.8 fantasy points per game. His impressive performance thus far all but locks him in as one of the game’s elite tight ends. As he prepares for 2025, he wants to do as good or better than that amazing performance.
Emerging Talent: Ricky Pearsall and Caleb Williams
Ricky Pearsall was a hot name in his rookie campaign as well. He scored 17 points or more in five of his 7 games. That goes to prove that he has the ability to step up when his team needs him the most. As he prepares for the 2025 season, Pearsall is currently ranked WR46 in drafts. This outlook puts him in a position to be one of the most interesting players for fantasy managers looking for breakout players.
Caleb Williams’ potential was on full display during his inaugural season. He finished as a top-eight fantasy QB on five different weeks as well! With a revamped offensive line and the addition of two highly touted rookie pass catchers, Williams could improve his game even further in 2025. His continued development is important not just personally, but for his team’s success as they look to build off last year’s NBA Finals run.
New Beginnings for J.J. McCarthy and Benson
J.J. McCarthy enters the 2025 season as the Minnesota Vikings’ starting quarterback. He returns after missing his entire rookie season due to a knee injury. We are thrilled and inspired by his return to help create the conditions for a new beginning. McCarthy has taken a year to recuperate and train. Now, he has a great opportunity to emerge as a difference-maker for the Vikings.
Benson was the second running back selected in last year’s draft. He is hungry to prove himself and make an impact this upcoming season. Plus, he gets the luxury of fourth-easiest strength of schedule of any running back. In fact, this might create new avenues for him to make big plays on the turf. As teams attempt to assert their ground attack, Benson’s ability should play a pivotal role in deciding the offensive fortunes of his squad.
Providing experienced depth to their receiver corps is the veteran Stefon Diggs – a consummate professional whose experience provides stability and leadership. His presence will be invaluable for young quarterbacks like McCarthy and Williams. Just what role can he play resurrecting their seasons on the field?
