Ultimately, he beat out former MLB pitcher John Smoltz by nine points. Pavelski went head to head with fellow U.S. His stellar performance awarded him a winner’s check of $150,000 from a total purse of $750,000.
Pavelski’s illustrious performance wrapped up in storybook fashion with an eagle to punctuate his reign of terror over the field for the duration of the tourney.
