Cole Anthony Agrees to Buyout with Grizzlies Aims to Join Milwaukee Bucks

Cole Anthony has reportedly reached a contract buyout agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies. This decision opens the door for him to sign with a G League affiliated team like the Milwaukee Bucks. Anthony, a skilled and talented guard with plenty of scoring upside, has officially cleared waivers. Now it seems that he’s headed to the Bucks on a one-year deal! This change represents a huge shift for the player taken 15th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft.

In his half decade with the Orlando Magic, alongside countless memories, Anthony left three distinct marks. He averaged 12.5 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game, establishing himself as a key contributor on the team. His elite scoring touch dictates the playing style. This in combination with his shooting ability makes him a very desirable addition to the Bucks’ roster.

The buyout agreement was facilitated by discussions between Anthony’s representatives and the Grizzlies, allowing both parties to reach a mutually beneficial resolution. This development enables Anthony to find a new team and creates space for Memphis to renegotiate and extend Jaren Jackson Jr.’s contract, a move that could strengthen their roster moving forward.

Anthony’s move to the Milwaukee Bucks represents a significant new chapter for both the player and franchise. The Bucks are hoping to add some firepower to their rotation as the team hopes to build off their 2021 success in the upcoming campaign. With Anthony’s professional experience and impressive scoring ability, he’ll be an immediate force on the court.
