R Sai Kishore, one of the most sought-after young Indian spinners, has signed with Surrey. Next into his sights will be successive tests in the form of the County Championship. Champions for the last three years running, Surrey will look to maintain their streak. They now find themselves only one point above Nottinghamshire at the bottom of the Division One table, with five matches remaining in their season.
At just 28 years old, Kishore has already established himself as a star in domestic and international cricket. He has played for the Indian national team in 3 T20 international matches, taking 4 wickets. His performance in first-class cricket is particularly impressive, boasting 192 wickets in just 46 matches at an average of 23.51. This extraordinary record highlights the kind of difference he is likely to make as he now joins Surrey.
Kishore has been leading the Tamil Nadu team in the Ranji Trophy. He currently plays for the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
