Early Morning Update on July 3rd 2025

At 4:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, the nation wakes to a quiet dawn, marking the beginning of a significant day ahead. As the sun comes up, communities across the country get ready for parades, picnics and other festivities celebrating the day.

Those early hours are often the most peaceful of any day, and this morning is no exception. As people all over the country plunge into their daily routines. For many it’s one of the few times they stop and think about what they want to accomplish that day. The date certainly has those involved in local Walk and Roll to School Day activities abuzz. They are still looking forward to the coming holiday weekend.

As the clock marches toward dawn, local businesses–many of them family-owned–start to open their doors and greet their customers. Restaurants welcome diners to their bright, new spaces, coffee shops brew fresh pots, and bakeries flaunt their morning pastries, enticing early risers. In our cities, people run in the parks and take their dogs for long walks. They take in the briskness and cleanliness of that morning air.

Being this near to Independence Day brings on multiple obligations. All across the country families are planning barbecues, fireworks displays, and other events to celebrate the nation’s history and heritage. Local municipalities are still working out logistics for community parades and public celebrations planned for tomorrow.

Workers in other fields, such as retail and hospitality, prepare for a significant uptick in business. Our friends are running around preparing for their holiday celebrations! Traditionally, this season leads to a boost in consumer activity, adding to the benefit to local economies that retailers bring.

As the morning unfolds and more sunlight pours in, the energy throughout communities starts to swell. District schools are still closed for summer break, giving families more time with each other during the longer days. Kids will huddle and ooohhh and ahhh beneath the fiery stars that will fill tomorrow’s night sky.
