Patrick Reed, the 34-year-old golfer known mainly for his 2018 Masters win, is one of the leaders in the LIV event. No one got the jump on Varner, who had a good start, tying for the first-round lead with a dazzling 67. The best players in the world are bunched up on the leaderboard.
