Kylian Mbappe Discharged from Hospital and Returns to Training Camp

Good news to report on Kylian Mbappe, who has now been released from the hospital after a scary moment. After admitting with a severe case of gastroenteritis that ruled him out of Real Madrid’s first game of the Club World Cup against Al Hilal. Thursday afternoon, the club made his release official with a bluntly-worded statement. He’s since rejoined his teammates at training camp.

Mbappe’s absence was glaring in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Al Hilal, Madrid’s only game so far in this tournament. Head coach Xabi Alonso had revealed that Mbappe was suffering from a high fever too, adding to the reasons for his unavailability. After his release, the club was hopeful about his recovery.
