Brighton Kicks Off Premier League Season with Fulham at Home

They’ll meet Fulham at home at 3 PM on that opening weekend. That contest starts off a brutal 2023/24 slate for the Seagulls. They are going to face some tough competition, both on the road and on home turf, regularly throughout the year.

Brighton’s August schedule features a potentially thrilling encounter with newcomers, Fulham. In addition, an away match against Everton and a home game against Manchester City, both 3 PM. These early fixtures will test Brighton’s squad depth and tactical resilience as they seek a strong start to the season.

Premier League Broadcast Expansion

In a surprise boon for sports fans, Sky Sports just days ago unveiled plans to ramp up their Premier League football coverage. Beginning in the 2025-26 season, the pan-Indian network will broadcast a minimum of 215 matches per season live. That’s almost double their last full season’s coverage of 128 matches! In practical terms, this expansion will leave Sky Sports broadcasting 80 percent of all Premier League games televised next season. Fans will no longer miss their favorite teams!

This decision further cements Sky Sports’ commitment to providing in-depth coverage of the Premier League. Perhaps most importantly, it improves the viewing experience for supporters of that team across the country. Fans can look forward to even more live matches, as the intensity and drama reaches new heights.

Key Fixtures for Brighton

Even with the league season only foot half-way through, Brighton’s fixture list is still incredibly packed. After opening play on the road against Bournemouth in September, the team will play at home against two fierce London rivals — Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. Despite the difficult opposition on paper, each of these games is important as Brighton look to get their first valuable points on the board this season.

The Seagulls have an incredibly difficult stretch ahead of them in November. They will face Leeds at home before travelling to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on November 8. For local fans, nothing matches the excitement of the upcoming home fixture against Crystal Palace. Clocked for February 7, this matchup is the top game of their regular season!

The season comes to a close with an away trip to Newcastle, again on May 2. Then, the last home game gets underway against Manchester United at 4 PM. Despite a great start, Brighton’s next five games are very important for their survival. They are looking to solidify their position in league standings heading into the end of the season.
