With the new NFL season just around the corner, fantasy football fans are furiously calculating ideal player rankings to build their dream teams. Ja’Marr Chase clearly WR1 infused talent into this receiver class. Justin Jefferson is in hot pursuit, already staking his claim to WR2. Bijan Robinson steals the show as the best running back, as RB1. Then there’s TreVeyon Henderson, who looks like the best addition to this loaded potential category. With a mix of established stars and rising talents, these rankings will significantly influence drafting strategies in upcoming fantasy leagues.
Top Wide Receivers
In a quickly evolving and highly competitive landscape at wide receiver, no player has surpassed Ja’Marr Chase as WR1. His nearly unprecedented impact over the last few years has cemented him as one of the top needs on pretty much any fantasy team. Chase’s big-play potential and proven proclivity for getting into the end zone gives him the advantage over his fellow pass-catchers.
Coming in a very distant second is Justin Jefferson, the WR2 in rank. Jefferson’s elite route running ability and overall versatility as a playmaker is enough to make him a must-have on any fantasy team. Fantasy managers should keep in mind that he has a bye week in Week 6. That would put their remap decisions outside of that all-important 20-22 window.
Davante Adams WR3 Adams is one of the best receivers in football and has cracked into the top three. Renowned for his elite route-tree and catching skills, Adams is still the top pass catcher in his offense. As a bonus, Jordan Addison is quickly establishing himself as WR3, flashing his ability to make plays on his way to a big season.
Rising Stars in Running Backs
In the running back category, Bijan Robinson is the clear cream of the crop RB1. His combination of speed, agility, and overall vision on the field makes him one of the most valuable assets in fantasy. As a rookie, he’s poised to step in and be a difference-maker from day one. All season long, experts think he’s the game-changer to watch on the field.
TreVeyon Henderson had a similar breakout as RB1, flashing elite upside that fantasy managers discovered. His vision to see running lanes combined with his serious ability to contribute in a passing game enhances his prospect profile.
As you can see, De’Von Achane has quickly solidified his place as RB5. He is an excellent investment for contending teams seeking to add depth to their RBs. Achane probably won’t be seen in the same light as the top guys were in 2023, Robinson and Henderson. Fortunately, his touchdown upside gives him a bit of sleeper appeal in drafts.
Noteworthy Performances from Other Positions
Besides the cream of the crop, quite a few other intriguing names have risen to the top at each position. Amon-Ra St. Brown locked down his welcomes as WR5 in the class, meeting all the markers we look for in a dependable target. As the main focus for his team, St. Brown’s reliability should make him an asset to fantasy managers.
>Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s WR ranking has fallen to WR15. While he is not quite up there with the top tier of receivers, his skill set is hard to miss. Meanwhile, George Pickens is lower on the list at WR27 and Terry McLaurin is higher at WR17. Both players have shown potential brilliance that could produce big fantasy days on the regular.
At tight end, Evan Engram has firmly established himself as TE1. The former five-star recruit is capable of stretching the field and catching passes in key situations. This versatility makes him an attractive player for any team in need of power at the position.
