He sees himself with a long-term future in the sport, looking to reach the 20-year mark in coaching. Even as he looks back on his journey, he marvels at where he is today. Eighteen years ago, that was his first chance to coach again in the NBA. That experience has been pivotal in informing his players’ understanding of what it actually takes to succeed at this level.
